High Fidelity

Like anyone else, Ameena has gone through her fair share of breakups. High Fidelity tell the story of her past relationships, some of which ended poorly, whereas others are shrouded in mystery. But it´s time she found closure, and the only way to do so is by facing her exes head-on and searching inward to see where things went bad. First on the list is Dorian, an artsy stud with a complex. Although her friend Rion advises Ameena not to see him, she goes anyway, looking for closure at any cost. She thinks back to the amazing sex she and Dorian would have and can´t see the full picture. But with enough time pondering her past, she sees that Dorian´s arrogance is what puts a wedge in their relationship. Next, Ameena visits Mayara, a woman she used to frequent grimy clubs and punk bars with. Ameena vividly remembers hooking up in dimly lit bathrooms, the music pounding behind the door, and the high risk of fucking when someone could easily walk in on them. These were extraordinary days, and Ameena wants to know what went wrong. After visiting her exes, Ameena realizes maybe she has a lot of growing up to do. What if the love she´s been looking for was in front of her all along? Rion enters the room and makes his move, embracing Ameena and taking her into his arms, caressing her tenderly.
